James Murphy S. winner Woodwin W (More Than Ready) will get time off in
Ocala, Florida, due to a tendon injury, trainer Jamie Ness said.

Woodwin W, who won his first four starts before
finishing 10th in the May 30 Penn Mile (G3) at odds of 5-1, “came back to the
barn one morning and he had a little bit of heat in his tendon,” Ness
explained. “He had a little bit of a tiny tear so we have
to do some therapy on it and give him some time off. We caught it
very slight. It’s not a real serious injury. We caught it before it could have
been, so I expect a full recovery.”

Ness said there’s no timetable on when the
sophomore gelding will return, but it won’t likely be until next
year.

“We’re just going to have to play it by ear,” he noted. “When he’s ready he’s
going to tell us and if he’s not we’re not going to push it. We’ll probably
bring him back to the track and we’ll get him ready at probably Tampa in the
winter time.”
