Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin on Sunday commented about the trip that Frosted (Tapit)
received from last-minute replacement rider Jose Lezcano, who employed more
aggressive early tactics en route to his third-place finish in the Travers (G1).
“We
didn’t want to engage (American Pharoah) that early but Jose rode him well. It
was unfortunate for us and maybe for American Pharoah, too.”
