connections
Close finishes were the norm on Saturday during Gulfstream Park’s Florida Sire
Stakes Day (FSS) program. The card featured the second divisions of the FSS
stakes for juveniles, the $300,000
Affirmed and
Susan’s Girl, as well as four other black-type events.
Stablemates Ballet Diva (Hear No Evil) and Silent Prayer (Brooks ‘n Down) ran
one-two in the Susan’s Girl for owner/breeder Jacks or Better Farm and trainer
Stanley Gold. The outfit just missed sweeping the juvenile contests when
Abercorn (Brooks ‘n Down) failed to run down Tribal Drama (Big Drama) by only a
neck in the Affirmed two races later.
