The Fields Stable’s Bob Le Beau (Big Bad Bob) lived up to his 3-2 favoritism in
Thursday’s $150,000 Lonesome Glory Steeplechase (NSA-G1) at Belmont Park,
splitting rivals and getting up for a half-length score under jockey Jack Doyle.
Trained by Elizabeth Voss, the eight-year-old gelding earned his second
straight Grade 1 score after taking the New York Turf Writers Cup Steeplechase
(NSA-G1) on August 27 at Saratoga. He stopped the clock for Thursday’s
Lonesome Glory in 4:41.27 after going 2 1/2 miles on the firm Belmont turf.
