American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile), Beholder (Henny Hughes) and Golden
Horn (Cape Cross) are among the stars pre-entered for the 32nd
Breeders’ Cup
at Keeneland on October 30 and 31. A total of 200 horses, including 32 from
overseas, have been pre-entered for two-day, 13-race program that encompasses
the 2015
Breeders’ Cup.
Friday’s four Breeders’ Cup races are all oversubscribed and six of
Saturday’s nine Breeders’ Cup races drew more than capacity, with Breeders’
Cup officials listing the also-eligibles in order of preference. The Dirt Mile
(G1) and Filly & Mare Turf (G1) are limited to 12 starters, with up to 14 horses
allowed to start in the remaining 11 events.
Gates open at Keeneland at 10 a.m. (ET) on Friday, October 30 and at 9 a.m.
on Saturday, October 31.
Betting
for both days is available on Friday.
Breeders’ Cup officials also released the
official race order and $11 million in guaranteed wagering pools on
Wednesday.
