The G. Watts Humphrey Jr. homebred was entered Sunday for a
title defense in the Falls City H. (G2), Churchill’s Thanksgiving Day feature,
but her name will also pass the entry box when the Clark field is finalized on
Tuesday. Then connections will decide whether to aim for the Grade 1 prize or go
the more conservative route against her own division in the Falls City.  

Maurice, Moore make winning team in Mile Championship

Maurice (Screen Hero) became the first horse in eight years to capture both of
Japan’s prestigious mile races, adding Sunday’s Mile Championship (G1)
to
his prior success in the June 7 Yasuda Kinen (G1).

Piloted by the in-demand Ryan Moore, the Noriyuki Hori trainee blitzed in
1:32.8 on Kyoto’s firm turf to extend his winning streak to five.
