Runhappy tops seven-horse Malibu on stakes-laden Santa
Anita opener
Runhappy, who likely clinched champion male sprinter honors winning the
October 31 Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) at Keeneland,
will have his season-ending finale in Saturday’s $300,000 Malibu (G1), a
seven-furlong dash for three-year-olds that highlights Santa Anita’s
winter-spring meet opener.
The nine-race program at “The Great Race Place,” which starts at noon (PST),
also includes three other graded stakes.
