Mohaymen posts bullet in final work for Holy Bull; top sire

Undefeated multiple Grade 2 winner Mohaymen put in his final major move for the
January 30 Holy Bull S. (G2) when going five furlongs in a bullet :59.40
over the fast main track at Palm Meadows on Thursday. Gulfstream Park’s Holy
Bull will kick off the Tapit colt’s sophomore season as he continues on the
Road to the
Kentucky Derby.
In other news Thursday,
Claiborne Farm announced that top sire Arch died on Wednesday of an apparent
heart attack.
Discreetness, a close winner of Monday’s Smarty Jones S., will continue through
Oaklawn Park’s Kentucky Derby preps and target the Southwest S. (G3) on February
15, according to trainer Jinks Fires.
Aqueduct has rescheduled its Toboggan S. (G3) to Sunday, and the redrawn
race now features nine runners. Returning are both Dads Caps and Green Gratto,
who finished one-two, respectively, in last year’s Carter H. (G1).
