recent Go for Wand (G3) heroine Taris will battle La Brea (G1) winner
Birdatthewire and Grade 3 scorer Yahilwa in the $200,000 La Canada, a 1
1/16-mile event for fillies and mares. Previously restricted to four-year-old
fillies, the La Canada is now open to mares five and older and serves as an
early prep for the Santa Maria (G2) and Santa Margarita (G1) later in the meet.
