Acapulco, who at age two last summer impressed observers in Europe and
worldwide when taking the Queen Mary (G2) at Royal Ascot and ran second in the
Nunthorpe (G1) against older rivals,
returns to action Friday night at Turfway Park in a first-level allowance going
six furlongs on the Polytrack. A return trip to Royal Ascot in June is on
the long-term agenda for the Coolmore-owned filly.
Her Emmnency will make her return to competition in the $200,000 Buena Vista S.
(G2) at Santa Anita Park on Saturday. The bay filly was last seen taking the
Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1) at Keeneland in October and faces an
overflow field of 14 going a mile on Santa Anita’s turf.

purse rises for its overnight races as well as three stakes races.
