Scully remembers Pyro’s 2008 Risen Star victory

With the Risen Star (G2) scheduled for Saturday at Fair Grounds,

James Scully revisits the stretch-winning drive of the 2008 edition which
resulted in Pyro taking his sophomore debut.

This year’s Risen Star features a bunch of exciting prospects, but

Mo Tom is hoping for a second straight victory at the track following his
winning effort in the Lecomte (G3) to open his 2016 campaign.

While Saturday’s focus will center on Fair Grounds, on Sunday Gulfstream Park
welcomes the

return of unbeaten Off the Tracks, unraced since taking Saratoga’s Schuylerville
(G3) last summer, in the Margate H.
