EL KINGDOM (El Prado [Ire]), a half-brother to Grade 2 queen Diadella
(Dynaformer), brought a final bid of $450,000 at Tuesday’s second and final
session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2009 March Selected Sale of
Two-Year-Olds in Training. Steve Weizcholz, Eddie Plesa, agent, was the winning
bidder on the gray colt, who toured the ring as Hip No. 383.

Consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, the juvenile is out of the multiple Grade
3 performer Rabiadella (Dynaformer). The Kentucky-bred worked out a quarter-mile
in :20 4/5 at last Friday’s second under tack show.

Stonestreet Stables, who signed the ticket for the second most expensive
offering during Tuesday’s opening session, did the same Wednesday when going to
$410,000 for a Tiznow colt sporting Hip 401. Consigned by Hartley/De Renzo
Thoroughbreds, agent, the Kentucky-bred had worked a furlong in :10 1/5 at the
second under tack show.

The bay is out of Reverence (West By West), a half-sister to Grade 3-placed
stakes winner Field Cat (Metfield) and stakes-placed Storm Dancer (Always a
Classic), and a three-quarter sister to the multiple stakes-placed Estevan
(Grand Slam). The juvenile was previously a $120,000 Keeneland September
yearling.

On Wednesday, 100 horses sold for $9,601,000, a steep decline of 45.6 percent
from the corresponding session last year when $17,645,500 was realized from the

$96,010, while the median dipped 49.2 percent, from $130,000 to $66,000.

Cumulatively, 215 horses grossed $20,681,000, a drop of 38 percent from last
year when $33,380,000 was realized from the sale of 233 horses. The sale average
was down 32.9 percent, from $143,262 to $96,191, while the median declined by 30
