SEATTLE RULER (Roman Ruler), winner of the Barretts Juvenile Stakes at
Fairplex Park and third in the Hollywood Prevue S. (G3) in his last start on
November 21, will return in the $750,000 CashCall Futurity (G1) on December 19,
trainer Mike Harrington confirmed Thursday.

“He’s not at all like Swiss Yodeler,” Harrington said of his 1996 Futurity
winner. “He’s got Fusaichi Pegasus genes and is bred to go two turns.”

Seattle Ruler worked six furlongs in 1:12 2/5 on Sunday at Hollywood Park and
will have one more move this weekend before the 1 1/16-mile Cushion Track test.
Martin Garcia, who has ridden the chestnut in all eight starts, has the call
back.

Trainer Bob Baffert, who won the race for a fourth time last year with
Pioneerof the Nile, said Thursday that he planned to start three colts this year
in quest of a record fifth victory.

The Baffert triumvirate will be headed by Eclipse Award candidate LOOKIN AT
LUCKY (Smart Strike), winner of the Del Mar Futurity (G1) and Norfolk S. (G1)
and an unlucky second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1).

Lookin at Lucky would be joined by Generous S. (G3) runner-up MARCELLO
(Johannesburg) and either undefeated allowance winner CONVEYANCE (Indian
Charlie) or maiden scorer THE PROGRAM (Harlan’s Holiday). Garrett Gomez, who
rode Pioneerof the Nile to victory last year, has the call back on Lookin at
Lucky. Jose Valdivia Jr. will ride Marcello and Victor Espinoza has the call on
the third colt.

Expected to join the Baffert trio and Seattle Ruler are Breeders’ Futurity
(G1) hero NOBLE’S PROMISE (Cuvee), third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, to be
ridden by Robby Albarado; and GET MY FIX (Posse), runner-up in the Prevue, with
Joseph Talamo up.
