The catalog for the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale is out now and may be
viewed online at
www.tattersalls.com. The breeze up sale takes place April 12-14 and features
196 lots, including half-brothers and sisters to 58 Group/listed performers.
Fifteen of the top 20 active Great Britain/Irish sires in 2010 are
represented including Cape Cross (Ire), Danehill Dancer, Dansili (GB), Dubawi,
Invincible Spirit, Oasis Dream (GB), Pivotal and Shamardal whilst top European
and U.S.-based sires with two-year-olds cataloged include Bernardini, Distorted
Humor, Dynaformer, Elusive Quality, Giant’s Causeway, Gone West, Lemon Drop Kid,
Medaglia d’Oro, More Than Ready, Mr. Greeley, Seeking the Gold and Street Cry
(Ire).
Classic and Group 1-winning first crop sires also feature prominently,
including Amadeus Wolf, Authorized, Dark Angel, Dutch Art, Dylan Thomas (Ire),
Excellent Art (GB), Invasor (Arg), Lawman, Manduro, Notnowcato, Red Clubs,
Street Sense and Teofilo whilst successful first crop sires of 2010 Bernardini,
First Samurai, Hurricane Run (Ire) and Iffraaj all have two-year-olds from their
second crops cataloged.
Numerically the largest consignment comes from Willie Browne’s Mocklershill
Stables with 19 two-year-olds cataloged whilst Con Marnane’s Bansha House
Stables has entered 13 for what looks a top-class renewal of the Craven Breeze
Up Sale.
“The Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale has over the last few years stamped
itself as Europe’s premier breeze up sale and the statistics certainly bear this
out,” Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said. “During the last three years
Craven Breeze Up graduates have won more Group/listed races than all other Great
Britain/Irish breeze up sales combined including five Group 1 winners. The
catalog for this year is full of quality and with almost 200 lots looks certain
to appeal to buyers from throughout the world and at all levels of the market.”
More than 60 percent of the two-year-olds cataloged are eligible for the
Racing Post Yearling Bonus Scheme and there are also seven lots eligible for
the £1,750,000 Tattersalls Millions.

The ‘breeze’ will take place at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse on April
12, with videos of the ‘breezes’ posted on the Tattersalls website. The sale
