Mrs. Revere draws 11

A field of 11 three-year-old fillies has been entered in the $150,000
Mrs. Revere S. (G2) on Saturday over Churchill Downs’ turf.
Included in the 1 1/16-mile contest is Grade 3 winner SISTER
SWANK
(Skip Away) as well as English Group 3 heroine RIVER BELLE
(GB) (Lahib). Both fillies are coming off starts at Keeneland in
October and will have to carry 120 pounds each.

Sister Swank raced on the dirt until three starts back, when
she easily captured a 1 1/16-mile allowance at Arlington Park.
The Steve Asmussen charge then tried graded turf company in the
Pucker Up S. (G3) and gave a good accounting of herself, running
third. She broke through with her own black-type score in the
Valley View S. (G3) last out and will keep Hall of Famer Pat Day
in the saddle on Saturday.

River Belle captured her first two starts overseas, including
the Princess Margaret S. (Eng-G3) at Ascot, before rounding out
her juvenile campaign with a sixth-place finish in the Fillies’
Mile S. (Eng-G1). She made her 2004 bow under the tutelage of
trainer Todd Pletcher at Saratoga, scoring in a mile allowance,
then went on to finish just a length back in third for both the
Boiling Springs S. (G3) and Queen Elizabeth II Invitational
Challenge Cup S. (G1). Jockey Kieren Fallon will be coming
stateside to ride at Churchill and has the mount on the chestnut
miss.

Among those Sister Swank and River Belle will face in the Mrs.
Revere are BLACK ROCK ROAD (Bertrando) and JINNY’S GOLD (Gold
Fever). The former is an undefeated stakes winner from three
starts this year while the latter ran second in the Valley View
last out.

Black Rock Road drew the rail and will carry 120 pounds,
including Brice Blanc. They’ll be followed in the post parade by
River Belle; WITH AFFECTION (Red Ransom), Richard Monterrey, 120;
SAHMKINDAWONDERFUL (Sahm), Daniel Coa, 120; LENATAREESE (Broad
Brush), Larry Melancon, 120; CASA NEKIA (Conquistador Cielo),
Brian Hernandez Jr., 114; Jinny’s Gold, Eddie Martin Jr., 114;
TOPANGO (Distant View), Kevin Krigger, 120; CAPE TOWN LASS (Horse
Chestnut [SAf]), Dean Sarvis, 114; Sister Swank; and FAMILY
BUSINESS (Saint Ballado), John McKee, 114.
