Wise Dan was named the winner of three 2012 Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and
Breeders (KTOB) KY-bred
champion awards, including Horse of the Year, at Thursday’s annual KTOB KY-bred
Champions Awards Luncheon hosted at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky.
In addition to Horse of the Year, Wise Dan was voted KY-bred champion
handicap male and turf horse male while his dam, Lisa Danielle, was honored as
the 2012 KTOB Broodmare of the Year.

Morton Fink and trained by Charles LoPresti, is the reigning Eclipse Horse of
the Year, champion older male and champion turf horse. Fink also owns
Lisa Danielle.

Also receiving awards were the top Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund (KTDF)
money earners in 2012 in five separate categories.
The recipients of 2012 KTOB KY-bred champion awards were voted on for the first
time by the full membership of Kentucky Thoroughbred Association (KTA)/KTOB while the KTDF category leaders were
tabulated using purse money won at Kentucky racetracks in 2012.
In existence since 1967 and 1983, respectfully, the KTOB and KTA direct their
efforts toward promoting and protecting the Thoroughbred industry by maintaining
the highest levels of racing, breeding and training standards in the
Commonwealth.
