Aclassysassylassy won all three legs of the Florida Stallion S. for fillies (Jim Lisa) Barbara Vivian and Dominic Vittese’s ACLASSYSASSYLASSY (Wild Event) stalked the pace before angling out entering the stretch of Saturday’s $400,000 My Dear Girl division of the Florida Stallion S. and going on to take the 8 1/2-furlong test by 3 1/2 lengths under jockey Manuel Aguilar. In the process, the David Vivian-trained gray miss became only the second one to complete a sweep of series for fillies, which includes the Desert Vixen and Susan’s Girl, after Nancy’s Glitter first accomplished the feat in 1997. Aclassysassylassy was sent off the 4-5 favorite in the 10-horse field and posted a final time of 1:48 1/5, and now shows $398,800 in earnings to go along with her 5-4-1-0 lifetime record. Her only setback to date came in her second career start, the J J’sdream S., after she had broken her maiden by 12 1/2 lengths. Her trainer says he plans to nominate her to the November 13 John Franks Juvenile Fillies Turf S.

Aclassysassylassy’s race was the highlight of Calder’s
Festival of the Sun, which featured eight stakes including two
graded events. The boys’ division of the Florida Stallion S., the
$400,000 In Reality division, went to Bea Oxenberg and Laurie
Plesa’s B. B. BEST (Yes It’s True), who posted a 1 3/4-length
pacesetting win under Eddie Castro. Hero of the Dr. Fager, the
first leg of the series, B. B. Best completed this 1 1/16-mile
event in 1:47 3/5.

The Edward Plesa Jr.-trained dark bay colt pushed his earnings
to $349,550 and improved his record to 6-4-0-1.

The Festival of the Sun started off with the $75,000 Cassidy
S., which Gatrou Farm’s RUNNING BOBCATS (Running Stag) captured
by an easy 5 3/4 lengths. The Rodolfo Garcia-trained juvenile
miss took over at the eighth pole and drew off under Julio Garcia
to stop the clock in 1:12 1/5 for six furlongs.

Liberty Stable’s HOPELESSLY DEVOTED (Storm Creek) was sent off
at 12-1 in the $200,000 Calder Oaks but easily ran down her
competition, 2 3/4 lengths clear at the wire under Cornelio
Velasquez. Conditioned by Sandra Slivka, the three-year-old bay
lass was making her first start on the turf in this nine-furlong
race and put up a final time of 1:51 2/5 on the firm course.

In the $100,000 Shocker T.
H., Centaur Farms Inc.’s REDOUBLED
MISS (Adhocracy) prevailed by a half-length to earn her first win
this season. Trained by Ronald Spatz and ridden by Eibar Coa, the
five-year-old bay mare has dropped nine previous starts but
finally broke through while going 1 1/16 miles in 1:47 1/5.

G. Player and D. Punches’ G P’S BLACK KNIGHT (Tiger Ridge)
rallied for a three-length score in the $75,000 Birdonthewire S.
earlier in the day. Under Carlos Olivero, the Daniel Hurtak
charge stopped the clock for three-quarters in 1:12 3/5.
