TwinSpires’ Players’ Pool Picks 6 at Aqueduct

The TwinSpires.com Players’ Pool returned to its winning ways on Thursday
when chasing a triple carryover in the pick 6 at Aqueduct and catching it to the
tune of $145,243 before taxes.

The Players’ Pool played two tickets totaling $23,904 and connected on its
“back-up” ticket that went against 7-to-20 favorite Sea Gaze in the second leg
(race 5) of the sequence. The Roundhouse paid $22.80 to win and was one of only
three horses the Players’ Pool used in the race.

Other winners in the sequence were Stud Muffin ($5.80), My Unbridled Storm
($12.20), Cosmic King ($9.70), Grand Strategy ($7.20), and Saucy Jade ($7.90).
Grand Strategy was the lone winning favorite in the sequence.

The Players’ Pool held one of only five perfect tickets, which was worth
$132,209 before automatic withholding. The Players’ Pool also had 19 winning
consolation tickets worth $686 apiece. On top of the $237,446 carryover, total
(new) handle for the pick 6 was $763,225.
