Jockey Gary Boulanger, who was injured after being unseated from his mount, IN
HAND (Belong to Me), during the running of Sunday’s Mac Diarmida H. (G3) at
Gulfstream Park, continues to show improvement, according to his agent, Cory
Moran.
“Very good news — he’s doing much better,” Moran said early Wednesday
morning. “The doctors took the breathing tubes out this morning and he’s
breathing freely on his own now. He also talked more today. We feel very good
about what we’ve seen. He’s slowly recovering.”
Boulanger’s condition remains listed as “serious” at Memorial Regional
Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.
