Big Brown rates the early favorite

Florida Derby (G1) hero BIG BROWN (Boundary) is the early 7-2 favorite for
Saturday’s Kentucky Derby (G1), as of 7 p.m. (EDT) on Friday. Coming next in the
early-bird wagering are Santa Anita Derby (G1) victor COLONEL JOHN (Tiznow) at
4-1 and Louisiana Derby (G2) winner PYRO (Pulpit) at 5-1. The filly EIGHT BELLES
(Unbridled’s Song) dropped to 8-1 after her stablemate Proud Spell (Proud

Big Brown also commands the lowest paying Oaks/Derby double with Proud Spell,
yielding a return of $37.80.
