Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) will hold its 16th annual Stallion
Season and Art Auction on Saturday at CandyLand Farm near Middletown, Delaware.
Horse people in the Bluegrass region will be able to bid on seasons and art
during the live auction, which will be simulcast to Cross Gate Gallery in
Lexington, Kentucky.
The Delaware location features an elegant dinner, hundreds of silent auction
items, and a live auction of stallions seasons to such standouts as Aldebaran,
Arch, Dixieland Band, El Corredor, Empire Maker, Leroidesanimaux (Brz), Medaglia
d’Oro, Mineshaft, Not For Love, Orientate, Pulpit, Sky Mesa, Smarty Jones,
Songandaprayer, Speighstown, Tiznow, Two Punch, Unbridled’s Song and Yes It’s
True.
The Kentucky event includes the live art and season auction
simulcast from Delaware and a cocktail party beginning at 7:30 p.m. (EST). The
highlight of the live art auction is “Study of a Jockey” by noted equine artist

The telephone segment of the stallion season auction begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and

The TCA, which has been described as the “United Way” of the Thoroughbred
industry, raises money for the rescue, rehabilitation and retirement of
racehorses. In addition, TCA supports equine research and organizations that help
