Last year’s champion juvenile Hansen has been ruled out of consideration for
this Saturday’s Grade 1, $1 million Travers at Saratoga Race Course.
“He had some inflammation in his left front leg this morning and is not
running,” trainer Mike Maker said.
Owned by Dr. Kendall Hansen and Skychai Racing, the gray son of Tapit was
undefeated as a two-year-old including a win in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. This
year he has added two Grade 3 victories to his resume from six starts.
The Travers field will be determined at Wednesday’s post position draw,
scheduled for 11 a.m. (EDT) in the Saratoga paddock.
