The Breeders’ Cup and the Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that Monday is
“Breeders’ Cup Night” at Dodgers Stadium, in celebration of the upcoming World
Championships at Santa Anita Park. The 7:10 p.m. (PDT) game will pit the Dodgers
against the San Francisco Giants.
Jockey Chantal Sutherland, who finished second in the 2011 Breeders’ Cup
Classic on Game On Dude, will throw out the first pitch. During the evening,
fans can mingle with some of Southern California’s top jockeys and trainers, and
enjoy in-game programming featuring Breeders’ Cup highlights and upcoming event
details.
“We’re honored to be a part of the Dodgers’ final homestand in what has been
an incredibly exciting season for the club,” said Craig Fravel, Breeders’ Cup
President and Chief Executive Officer. “This will be the sixth time that the
Breeders’ Cup is being run at Santa Anita Park, and it has become a celebrated
event in the Los Angeles area at one of our sport’s greatest racing venues. We
are thrilled to share the horse racing experience with Dodgers fans alike.”
The Breeders’ Cup will take place at Santa Anita on November 2-3.
Monday also marks the first day that General Admission tickets for the
Breeders’ Cup go on sale, beginning online at 12 p.m. (EDT). The General
Admission online price for Championship Friday will be $10. The General
Admission online price for Championship Saturday is $15. Patrons will be able to
print their tickets at home and bring them to the track for admission. General
admission prices at the gate on Championship Friday will be $15 and $20 on
