Courtlandt Farms’ SWEET TALKER (Stormin Fever) won her
fourth consecutive outing when re-rallying strongly
to capture the

$200,000 Winstar Distaff H. (G3)
on Monday. Settled in fourth early by
jockey Ramon Dominguez, the four-year-old filly followed Paz Ciudadana (Chi)
(Golden Voyager) through splits of :24, :48 4/5, 1:13 1/5 and 1:26. As the
leader fell by the wayside at the sixteenth pole, Sweet Talker struck the front
but was soon confronted by a charging Joint Aspiration (GB) (Pivotal). Sweet
Talker fought back gamely to get up by a head, completing a mile on the yielding turf in
1:38 3/5. Sent off as the 6-5 favorite, the Graham Motion trainee returned $4.60, $3
and $2.80 while keying exotics of $25.40 (exacta), $406 (trifecta) and $2,444.20
for the 1-7-6-4 superfecta.

Joint Aspiration was reserved off the early pace near the back
of the pack before launching her bid that carried her within striking distance of the
victory. The place gave back $5.60 and $4.40 at 6-1. Two lengths
further back was Stretching (Red Ransom), who paid $8.80 at 50-1 for third. Paz Ciudadana held on to round out the superfecta with Lock and Key (Ire) (Key
of Luck), Caviar Emptor (Quiet American), My Misty Princess (Acceptable), Katdogawn (GB) (Bahhare), Peaceful Love (Ger) (Dashing Blade) and Stela (Chi)
(Sam M.) completing the order of finish.

Bred in Kentucky by Brereton Jones, the dark bay is out of Another Vegetarian
(Stalwart), who has since produced an unnamed yearling filly by Mazel
Trick and a 2006 colt by Friends Lake. Sweet Talker was most recently purchased
for $1,150,000 at the 2005 Keeneland November Horses of All Ages Sale. This came
just a month after she emerged victorious in the Queen Elizabeth II Invitational
Challenge Cup S. (G1) over the Keeneland turf.

Monday’s victory is her sixth in her last seven starts and it improves her
overall record to
15-9-2-1 with $838,723 in earnings.
