Europe’s Breeze-Up season moves to Baden-Baden’s Iffezheim complex on
Saturday as BBAG launch their Spring Sale. Embedded in the Baden-Baden Spring Meeting, the
auction has been boosted by the exploits of graduates Kamsin (Samum), winner of the Albert Von Metzler-Rennen
(Ger-G3) at Frankfurt and a leading
Deutches Derby (Ger-G1) contender; Monday’s Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen (German Two
Thousand Guineas) (Ger-G2)
hero Precious Boy (Big Shuffle); and Schwarzgold-Rennen (Ger-G3) winner Peace
Royale (Sholokhov).
Carola Ortlieb, the new managing director of the
auction house, recently announced that the list of vendors has expanded with
Gestut Fahrhof as well as new consignors from England, Ireland and France
attracted to the sale. Of the 150 lots cataloged, which include horses in
training and is appended by a supplementary catalog of 10 lots, the sires
represented include A.P. Indy, Arch, Invincible Spirit, Marju and
One Cool Cat as well the domestic favorites Big Shuffle, Dashing Blade and
Tiger Hill.
Under-tack previews will take place the morning of the sale. Catalog and updates are available at www.bbag-sales.de.
