Suburban H. (G1) winner OFFLEE WILD (Wild Rush) has been retired from racing
and will enter stud next year at Darley at Jonabell near Lexington, Kentucky.
The five-year-old came out of his fifth-place finish as the 3-5 favorite in the
August 21 Saratoga Breeders’
Cup H. (G2) with an undisclosed injury. The dark bay
was purchased by Darley after his 1 1/14-length victory in the July 2
Suburban.

A winner at two, three, four and five, the Richard Dutrow trainee retires
with a record of 19-6-3-2 and earnings just shy of $1 million at $976,325. In
addition to his Suburban win, his resume includes victories in the Massachusetts
H. (G2), Excelsior Breeders’ Cup H. (G3) and Holy Bull S. (G3) as well as
placings in the Blue Grass S. (G1) and John B. Campbell Breeders’ Cup H.

Offlee Wild is out of Alvear (Seattle Slew), a half-sister to prominent sire Dynaformer.

A stud
fee will be announced at a later date.
