Honor Code posts final breeze for BC Classic; La Verdad to
F&M Sprint
Sunday was relatively quiet in regards to major Breeders’ Cup workers
readying for next weekend’s races at Keeneland, but a few major contenders took
to the track to post their final major moves.
At Belmont Park on Sunday, Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) contender
Honor Code (A.P. Indy) went out before the sun was up and clocked a half-mile in
:48 over the fast main track for trainer Shug McGaughey, and conditioner
Linda Rice confirmed that La Verdad (Yes It’s True) exited her win in Saturday’s
Iroquois S. in good order and is now going to the TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Filly
& Mare Sprint (G1).
Trainer Wesley Ward sent out a sextet of workers at Keeneland, including
Group 1 winner
Undrafted (Purim) who posted a 1:01.80 five-furlong move in company with fellow
TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) hopeful Green Mask (Mizzen Mast).
Grade 1 winner
Masochistic (Sought After) readied for the Sprint at Santa Anita Park on Sunday
when covering a bullet five-eighths in :58.40 over the fast main track.
