Six distaffers will sprint six furlongs in Sunday’s $150,000 Honorable Miss
H. (G2) at Saratoga, and GAME FACE (Menifee) is the one to beat. A marvelous 6
3/4-length victress in the six-furlong Princess Rooney H. (G1) last out, the
Todd Pletcher-trained four-year-old filly is at her best going three-quarters of
a mile, winning her last three attempts, and her 108 BRIS Speed rating last time
towers over her rivals on Sunday. She’s in top form presently, owns
plenty of tactical speed, registering excellent BRIS E1 and E2 Pace numbers in
her last two starts, and will have the leaders in her sights Sunday
before pouncing under Edgar Prado.

We’ll look for value in the exacta with ALL GIVING (Allen’s Prospect). Listed
at 15-1 on the morning line, the Flint Stites trainee exits a sharp two-length
score in the Day Lilly S. at Penn National, registering a 100 BRIS Speed rating,
and the five-year-old mare has registered triple-digit Speed figures on three
occasions this season while sprinting six furlongs. She figures to enjoy a good
trip from the far outside post in this short field, tracking the front runners
beneath Jonathan Joyce, and we’ll look for her to offer a solid run through the
stretch.

PORTE BONHEUR (Hennessy) exits a game score in the First Flight H. (G2) at
Belmont Park and merits serious respect in her Spa return. Winner of the Victory
Ride S. (G3) at the track/distance last summer, the David Duggan-conditioned
chestnut owns a solid turn of foot and probably has the best chance of an upset
with Ramon Dominguez. However, the four-year-old exits a potentially taxing effort
going seven furlongs, and she’ll be stepping up in this spot. We’ll use her on
the bottom of the trifecta.

Princess Rooney runner-up KEEP THE PEACE (Touch Gold) is stuck on the rail and will
likely look to break running under Julien Leparoux. She likes to grab part
(5-1-3-1 this year) and we respect her mark at the distance (5-3-2-0), but we
don’t like the post. The four-year-old filly is still a logical top-three
contender.

LADY CHACE (Tiznow) will look to come running in the stretch under Jose
Lezcano, but the Steve Margolis charge didn’t run well in her lone previous
start at Saratoga and will be tested for class in this spot. P. S. U. GRAD
(Harlan’s Holiday) will make her first start for Bob Baffert and hasn’t run
poorly this season, but we can’t endorse her chances at this level.
