Ide filly tops Fasig-Tipton Texas sale

A bay filly by Ide named TENSAS YUCATAN sold for $270,000 to James Spence in
the final moments Tuesday to top the Fasig-Tipton Texas Two-Year-Old in Training
Sale at Lone Star Park. Consigned by Twin Oaks Training Center, agent, as Hip
No. 308, the Louisiana-bred is the second foal out of Xylophone (Dehere), who is a
half-sister to stakes victress Joyous Song.

The filly drilled an eighth-mile in a bullet :10 at the at the under tack
show on April 2.

A colt by Forrestry, Hip 56, sold for the second-highest price of $240,000 to
Virginia Skelton. The late addition to the one-day auction was consigned by Hoby and Layna Kight. The bay colt is a half-brother to 1997 Astarita S. (G2)
heroine Ninth Inning (Meadowlake) and Grade 2-placed Stylish Encore (Black Tie
Affair [Ire]). He is out of the winning In Reality mare La Finale, a half-sister
to stakes winners A Sure Hit (Ack Ack), Rare Performer (Mr. Prospector) and
Channing Road (Kentucky Pride).

At the under tack preview, the colt worked a quarter-mile in :21
2/5. The youngster sold for $115,00 at the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages
Sale, RNA’d for $135,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale latter that
year, and was purchased by Kight for $115,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall
Yearling Sale. The colt RNA’d for $75,000 at the Fasig-Tipton February
Two-Year-Old in Training Sale at Calder Race Course.

MISS MARY PAT (Service Stripe), Hip 160, fetched $160,000 from Heiligbrodt
Racing Stable. Consigned by Cashmark Farm (Cash Asmussen), agent, the filly is
the first foal out of stakes-placed winner Missadryannaatto (Green Dancer).

The dark bay lass worked an eighth-mile in :10 1/5 at the under tack preview.

A total of $193 horses sold for $4,476,100, a 70 percent increase compared
to last year when 142 horses brought an aggregate of $2,631,600. The average price
increased 25.1 percent, from $23,192 to $18,532. Median price increased 50
percent, from 10,000 in 2005 to $15,000 this year.
