Groupie Doll, ‘Ebby’ cataloged for Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale

A collection of recent Grade 1-winning fillies is
among the 3,602 horses Keeneland has cataloged for its 2013 November Breeding
Stock Sale, to be held November 5-14. The total includes 1,739 broodmares and broodmare
prospects, 1,364 weanlings, 481 horses of racing age, 10 yearlings and eight
stallions.

Catalogs will be available electronically via
Keeneland’s
website
beginning Tuesday. Print catalogs will be mailed the
week of October 14.

“This year’s November Sale catalog is particularly
exceptional, offering a unique selection of Grade 1 stakes-winning fillies and
young, graded-stakes performing mares,” Keeneland Vice President of Sales Walt
Robertson said. “These broodmare prospects are highly prized by breeding
operations around the world.”

Among the accomplished young fillies and mares cataloged in
the sale is champion female sprinter Groupie Doll (Bowman’s Band), winner of the 2012 Breeders’ Cup
Filly & Mare Sprint and this season’s Presque Isle Downs Masters (G2) in
track-record time. Other who can be found in the sale are Grade 1 scorers Byrama (Byron), Daisy Devine
(Kafwain), Executiveprivilege (First Samurai), Lady of Fifty (After Market), Lady of Shamrock
(Scat Daddy) and Summer Soiree (War Front), who is
foal to Medaglia d’Oro.

The November Sale also will be highlighted by the dispersal
of E. Paul Robsham LLC Stables, consigned by Lane’s End, agent, and the
dispersal of Eric Kronfeld, consigned by Winter Quarter Farm, agent.

Robsham’s
dispersal consists of 24 mares, weanlings and yearlings and features Grade 1
heroines Awesome Maria (Maria’s Mon), in foal to Giant’s Causeway, and R Heat Lightning
(Trippi), in
foal to Bernardini. The Kronfield dispersal includes Eblouissante (Bernardini), the winning
half-sister to Horse of the Year Zenyatta.

Additionally, a number of horses of racing age will be sold
on November 12 and include consignments from WinStar Racing, agent, and
Adena Springs, agent.

The November Sale includes mares in foal to 206 of the
world’s most prominent stallions, among them Algorithms, Arch, Awesome Again, Bernardini, Blame, Bodemeister,
Candy Ride, Distorted Humor, Drosselmeyer,
Elusive Quality, First Defence, Frankel, Galileo, Giant’s Causeway,
Harlan’s Holiday, Kittens Joy, Lemon Drop Kid, Lonhro, Lookin at Lucky,
Medaglia d’Oro, Midnight Lute, More Than Ready, Pioneerof the Nile, Quality
Road, Scat Daddy, Shackleford, Smart Strike, Speightstown, Spring at Last, Stay
Thirsty, Stormy Atlantic, Street Cry, Tapit, The Factor, Tiznow, To Honor
and Serve, Trappe Shot, Unbridled’s Song, Uncle Mo, Union Rags and War Front.

Weanlings cataloged represent 192 top stallions
such as Arch, Awesome Again, Bernardini, Blame, Candy Ride, Cape Blanco, Dansili, Distorted Humor, Drosselmeyer, Elusive Quality, Empire
Maker, Fastnet Rock, Galileo, Giant’s Causeway, Gio Ponti, Harlan’s
Holiday, Kitten’s Joy, Lemon Drop Kid, Lonhro, Lookin at Lucky, Malibu
Moon, Medaglia d’Oro, Midnight Lute, More Than Ready, Pioneerof the Nile,
Pulpit, Quality Road, Scat Daddy, Smart Strike, Speightstown, Stormy Atlantic,
Street Cry, Street Sense, Tapit, Tiznow, Trappe Shot, Unbridled’s Song
and War Front.

Prominent November Sale alumni sold as weanlings include
such 2013 standouts as the unbeaten No Nay Never (Scat Daddy), a $170,000
weanling who thus far this year has captured the Prix Morny (Fr-G1) at Deauville and the Norfolk (Eng-G2) at Royal Ascot, and Hakeem
(Harlan’s Holiday), a $35,000 weanling who scored in the Kayarel (Tur-G1) in Turkey.

Grade/Group 2 winners in 2013 include November Sale
graduates Alberts Hope (Run Away and Hide), Bashart (War Front), Cyber Secret
(Broken Vow), Dark Cove (Medaglia d’Oro), Flashback (Tapit), Ive Struck a Nerve
(Yankee Gentleman), Lady of Shamrock, Open Water (Include), Solid Appeal (Successful
Appeal) and War Dancer (War Front).

This year’s Grade/Group 3 winners who are alumni of
the November Sale include Channel Lady (English Channel), Debt Ceiling (Discreet
Cat), Devious Intent (Dixie Union), Dunkin Bend
(Dunkirk), Falling Sky (Lion Heart), Nellie Cashman (Mineshaft), Prayer
for Relief (Jump Start) and Title Contender (Pulpit).
