Kosta and Pete Hronis got into the game in 2010 and the brothers received the Eclipse Award for leading owners after a terrific 2018 season.
Accelerate proved to be the stable star, stepping forward in 2018 with five Grade 1 wins including the Breeders’ Cup Classic, and the classy six-year-old will make his final start in Saturday’s $9 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) at Gulfstream Park before heading to stud at Lane’s End Farm.
Other notables for Hronis Racing LLC include multiple Grade 2 scorer Catalina Cruiser and the brothers have found success at all levels of Thoroughbred racing.
They led all owners by wins at the Del Mar summer meeting and tied for leading owner at the Santa Anita winter meet. The Hronis’ have a family farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley.
