at Far Hills

A field of six two-year-old sprinters will dash six furlongs Saturday in the

.

Later in the card, 13 fillies and mares will square off over 1 1/16 miles on
the turf in the $200,000 Athenia (G3).

Across the river in New Jersey, nine geldings will compete in the $300,000 Grand
National (G1), American steeplechasing’s richest event, at the Far Hills hunt
meet
. Last year’s champion jumper Demonstrative (Elusive Quality) will seek
a repeat victory in the 2 5/8-mile hurdle.
