The 43-1 longshot Magnitude shook up the Road to the Kentucky Derby with a front-running upset of Saturday’s $500,000 Risen Star (G2) at Fair Grounds.

Despite ending his two-year-old season on a sour note in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1), East Avenue is expected to produce a far better effort, perhaps a winning one, in the $500,000 Risen Star (G2) at Fair Grounds.

Juddmonte’s Disco Time found himself in unfamiliar territory near the back of the pack in the Lecomte (G3) at Fair Grounds, but the favorite rallied in time to pass his first test on the Road to the Kentucky Derby.

Saturday’s Lecomte (G3) at Fair Grounds marks a new stage on the Road to the Kentucky Derby, with the points increasing in value to a 20-10-6-4-2 scale to the top five finishers.
