After the disqualification of strong favorite Just Might in the Duncan F. Kenner S., the upsets continued in Saturday’s turf stakes at Fair Grounds. Pass the Plate got up to pay $19.20 in the Marie G. Krantz Memorial, and Forty Under furnished $34.80 in a Col. E.R. Bradley S. thriller.

Along with three dirt stakes anchored by the Lecomte (G3), Fair Grounds offers a trio of $100,000 turf stakes Saturday making for a total of six on a terrific 14-race “Road to the Derby Day.”

Wells Bayou, the star of the 2020 Louisiana Derby (G2), will make a long-awaited return to action in the $125,000 Louisiana Stakes (G3).
