Flores allowed to ride at Hoosier
Jockey Vicente Flores, one of 15 jockeys banned from riding at
Hoosier Park, has been reinstated to ride at the Anderson,
Indiana, track.
The decision to allow Flores to ride came following a phone
call from the jockey to Hoosier Park President and General Manger
Rick Moore. Flores told Moore that he has difficulty hearing and
didn't understand what was taking place when the jockeys refused
to ride on Friday. Unlike some of the other riders who had to be
escorted from the track by policemen, Flores left voluntarily.
Flores rode during Hoosier Park's Saturday night program and
won the 2ND race with SENORITA ZIGGY (Senor Speedy).
