Saturday's $500,000 Frizette S. (G1) features a field of nine two-year-old

fillies and ADIEU (El Corredor) looks difficult to beat. An impressive winner of

her first two outings, she was trapped down on the inside and suffered her first

defeat in the six-furlong Adirondack S. (G2) in her third career start. The Todd

Pletcher-trained bay bounced back in an impressive way last time in the

seven-furlong Spinaway S. (G2), contesting the pace from the outset and proving

extremely resilient when repelling a strong challenge from runner-up Folklore (Tiznow).

That rival captured the Matron S. (G1) by 14 lengths in her next start, and

there is little separating her and Adieu. We'll look for a strong performance

from the favorite in her final Breeders' Cup tune-up.

KEENELAND KAT (Hennessy) appears to be the most talented of her rivals and

will be running late under Joe Bravo. A 6 3/4-length debut winner at Monmouth

Park in late July, the Kelly Breen trainee made her next start against stakes

rivals in the Sorority S. in early September and rallied boldly from the back of

the pack to win going away by 2 1/2 lengths. Her BRIS Speed ratings (89 and 91)

don't stack up to Adieu's, but Keeneland Kat owns room for improvement and could

benefit from a fast pace up front.

MYKINDASAINT (Saint Ballado) will help ensure a fast pace by trying to steal

the race on the front end under Jerry Bailey. An easy winner of her first three

career starts at Lone Star Park, Calder and Louisiana Downs, the chestnut miss

has been transferred to D. Wayne Lukas and will make her first start for the

Hall of Fame conditioner. She's been working fast in the mornings in

preparation, but the 81 Speed rating she earned last time for a five-length win

in the Princess S. won't get it done against this company. We'll look for some

improvement and put her on the bottom of some exotics.

CATCH MY FANCY (Yes It's True) enters on the upswing for trainer Craig

Dollase, having won the Barretts Debutante S. by 6 1/2 lengths last time at

Fairplex Park following a five-length maiden score in her career bow at Del Mar.

She displayed a fine turn of foot both times and figures to be sitting in a good

spot in her first New York start stalking the pace. We wouldn't be surprised to

see the improving bay filly offer a good rally into the stretch for a top-three

placing.

ALONG THE SEA (Anees) finished a commendable third in the Spinaway  two

back and probably didn't offer her best last time in the Matron after breaking

through the starting gate. The Ralph Ziadie charge probably will continue to

show more stretching out to two-turn races down the road, but she can't

dismissed from exotics consideration on Saturday. Along the Sea owns good

tactical speed and is a bounce-back candidate at likely decent odds. MISS NORMAN

(Artax) was a non-threatening second in the Matron in her New York debut and is

a threat for a small share on Saturday. She broke her maiden at Del Mar in a

nice fashion but didn't offer much in the Del Mar Debutante S. (G1) in her first

start against winners. Miss Norman is making some progress for trainer Salvador

Gonzalez, but she'll need to significantly improve her Speed ratings to be a

factor here.

BETTER NOW (Thunder Gulch) rallied from off the pace to win a one-mile

Belmont maiden special weight last time by a half-length, but we'll give her a

race against winners. HECKUVA RUSH (Wild Rush) crushed New Jersey-bred maidens

last time at Monmouth Park and has been switched to trainer Doug O'Neill, but we

can't recommend her chances facing such a huge class hike. PHILANTHROPY LADY

(Desert Style) wired a small field over a muddy track in an off-the-turf maiden

race at Saratoga last time and appears up against it in this spot.
