Kentucky Derby, Oaks tickets available online

Last updated: 11/19/12 2:21 PM

Shoppers searching for ideas for unique holiday gifts have the opportunity to

present family members, friends and business associates with a view of Churchill

Downs' venerable Twin Spires on Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks Days with an

online advance purchase of either general admission tickets to those great

racing and entertainment events, or two-day reserved seats for Derby and Oaks in

the track's new Section 110 venue.

General admission tickets for the 139th runnings of the Kentucky Derby on May

4, and the Kentucky Oaks on May 3, can be purchased now at a lower advance price

via the Churchill Downs online box office at

www.ChurchillDowns.com/tickets. The price of advance purchase general

admission tickets is unchanged at $40 for Kentucky Derby Day and $25 for the

Kentucky Oaks. Each purchase will include a $1 convenience charge.

The lower online purchase price of general admission to the Kentucky Derby

and Oaks will be available through the day before each event. A walk-up purchase

of a general admission on Kentucky Oaks Day will cost $30, which is $5 higher

than the online advance purchase price. The purchase of a general admission

ticket for the Kentucky Derby on the day of the race will cost $50, which is $10

higher than an online advance purchase.

The price of general admission tickets to the Kentucky Derby and Oaks, if

purchased online and in advance, is unchanged since 2001.

Some seats remains available for online purchase in the new Section 110 Derby

and Oaks hospitality venue unveiled just days ago. Section 110 is located on the

first turn, traditionally referred to as the "Clubhouse turn," in an area that

had in recent years been home to Trackside Village, a two-story hospitality tent

constructed specifically for Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks Week

entertainment.

Section 110 seating and hospitality will replace the Infield Club, a

hospitality venue located in the infield for the Derby and Oaks during the past

three years.

Section 110 features Churchill Downs' first "tip-up" stadium seats, complete

with cup-holder, and unlimited food and drink is included in the ticket price.

All seats in Section 110 offer easy access to a food and drink concourse and its

ample supply of betting windows and restrooms located on its ground floor.

The price of the available Section 110 seating, a two-day ticket package for

Kentucky Derby and Oaks, is $698.

The available Section 110 seating is available for purchase online at

Churchill's

ticket page.
