Keeneland’s Fall Stars Weekend gets off to a terrific start on Friday, with a trio of Breeders’ Cup Challenge events highlighting the opening day card.

Along with three dirt stakes anchored by the Lecomte (G3), Fair Grounds offers a trio of $100,000 turf stakes Saturday making for a total of six on a terrific 14-race “Road to the Derby Day.”

Fair Grounds standouts Just Might and Chess Chief were among the shining stars during Sunday's stakes-packed card at the New Orleans oval.

Before the inaugural Gun Runner S. and Untapable S. for aspiring Kentucky Derby (G1) and Oaks (G1) candidates, Fair Grounds will stage four stakes on the terrific Sunday, Dec. 26 card.
