Last updated: 9/29/05 7:26 PM

Grade 1 queen MEGAHERTZ (GB) (Pivotal), a 12-time stakes winner, is clearly

the one to beat in Saturday's $500,000 Yellow Ribbon S. (G1) at Santa Anita.

Winner of the Santa Ana H. (G2), Santa Barbara H. (G2) and Beverly Hills H. (G2)

in her first three starts this year, the Bobby Frankel-trained six-year-old mare

squared off against a stellar field last time in the Beverly D. S. (G1) at

Arlington Park and finished an excellent second, beaten only a neck. Alex Solis

rides the eight-time winner over the course.

Multiple Grade 1 heroine AMORAMA (Fr) (Sri Pekan), winner of the John C. Mabee

H. (G1) two starts back, is among her top opponents. French stakes winner FLIP

FLOP (Fr) (Zieten), winner of a Del Mar allowance last out, and multiple stakes

victress WINENDYNME (Dynaformer) are also in the field.

Three-time Argentine Group 1 winner HALO OLA (Arg) (Southern Halo) and jockey

Rene Douglas will lead the post parade. Next comes SMOKEGETENYOUREYES (Smokester),

Javier Santiago; Flip Flop, Gary Stevens; COLD COLD WOMAN (GB) (Machiavellian),

Kent Desormeaux; Winendynme, David Flores; Megahertz; and Amorama, Martin Pedroza.

All starters will tote 123 pounds.
