Mr. Z installed as 5-2 choice in Indiana Derby
Mr. Z (Malibu Moon) finally broke through in the June 20 Ohio Derby, snapping
a 13-race losing skein with his first stakes victory, and the D. Wayne
Lukas-trained colt will seek a second straight when he lines up for Saturday's
Indiana Derby (G2). The chestnut colt heads a field of eight sophomores in
the 1 1/16-mile race at Indiana Grand.
His main challengers include Grade 3 winner Divining Rod (Tapit), a close
third in the Ohio Derby; last-out Matt Winn (G3) scorer Island Town (Hard Spun);
