Only six three-year-old fillies will go in Saturday's $100,000 Old Hat S.

(G3) at Gulfstream Park, but the 6 1/2-furlong test looks like a good match-up

for at least four in the field. SMART N PRETTY (Elusive Quality), MISTY ROSETTE

(Stormin Fever), MIRACULOUS MISS (Mr. Greeley) and YACHATS (Forest Camp) have

all already proven themselves either against stakes company or at the distance,

and any one of those could come out on top here.

For the win, we're going with Miraculous Miss to keep her record perfect in

her fourth start. The Steve Klesaris trainee will be coming off a 76-day break,

but nothing yet has been able to stop the chestnut miss, not even hitting the

gate at the start of her last one. She rallied from far back in last to take

down that six-furlong test, the Valley Stream S. (G3), by two lengths at the

wire while earning a 95 BRIS Speed rating. Miraculous Miss returned to training

in mid-January and most recently recorded a bullet half-mile in :46 3/5 over the

track. Regular rider Ramon Dominguez will be in the irons and the two appear

ready to have their picture taken again.

Yachats is looking for her third win from as many career starts in this spot

for trainer Todd Pletcher. The chestnut lass made her sophomore bow on January

14 over the track, taking down 11 rivals in a 6 1/2-furlong allowance, and

posted a 100 Speed rating as well as a 110 BRIS E2 Pace figure. John Velazquez

will be aboard Yachats, who could make her stakes debut a winning one.

James Chapman sent Misty Rosette out for a six-length maiden win in her debut

at the beginning of December, then saddled her later that month to a 3

3/4-length decision in the Sandpiper S. In each case, the bay filly earned top

BRIS numbers, and she could easily take the next step up here while moving her record

to a perfect three-for-three.

Smart N Pretty is looking for her first score since breaking her maiden three

back at Churchill Downs. She was fourth in the January allowance Yachats won,

but was rallying from near the back of that test to just miss by 4 1/2 lengths.

The Dale Romans charge has been working well since then and breaks from an

inside post, which has been sending horses to the winner's circle at a 22

percent clip. Include her in all exotics.

SWAP FLIPAROO (Exchange Rate) is by far the most experienced runner in the

field, with nine races already under her girth. Trained by Allen Jerkens, the

gray filly will be getting first-time Lasix on Saturday and owns nice enough

numbers to threaten for part. SOMETHINABOUTBETTY (Forestry) captured her last

two in front-running fashion and could try to utilize that same tactic here.

However, she may not be speedy enough at this time to keep up with the other

front-runners in this one, so we'll just watch for now.
