Rockport Harbor continues recovery

Last updated: 3/14/05 4:26 PM

Undefeated Remsen S. (G2) winner ROCKPORT HARBOR (Unbridled's Song), who is

scheduled to make his three-year-old debut in Saturday's $250,000 Rebel S. (G3)

at Oaklawn Park, continues to recover from an injury that was re-aggravated over

the weekend, trainer John Servis said.

"Rockport Harbor's foot is looking better everyday," Servis said Monday. "As

far as I'm concerned, the Rebel remains a go. There is no plan B."

Servis said the injury is a result of the original gash the colt sustained

going into the first turn of the Remsen on November 27 at Aqueduct.

"The damage will heal, there's no question about it, but the only bad thing

is the timing," Servis said. "I wish I had three weeks to the Rebel. Rocky

walked the shed this morning, and he showed no signs of favoring the foot, and

we plan to take him back to the track tomorrow (Tuesday) morning for a light

jog."

Rockport Harbor is expected to face AFLEET ALEX (Northern Afleet) and GREATER

GOOD (Intidab), who both won stakes races in their sophomore debuts at Oaklawn,

in the 1 1/16-mile Rebel.
